Coimbatore: An alarming incident of motorcycle theft has been reported in the bustling city of Coimbatore, where four culprits, including a 17-year-old boy, were apprehended by the diligent police force on Saturday. The authorities successfully recovered a total of 12 stolen motorcycles from the perpetrators, shedding light on the rampant issue of vehicle theft in the area.

The miscreants, identified as A Suryaprakash, S Manoj, the minor boy, all hailing from Velandipalayam, and A Azharuddin from Thadagam in Coimbatore district, were known to operate in the busy areas of RS Puram, Variety Hall Road, and Saibaba Colony. Their modus operandi involved stealing motorcycles and then passing them on to Azharuddin in exchange for a sum of ₹2,500 per stolen vehicle.
