Tragic Accident Claims Lives of Mason Family Members in Georgia

Tragedy struck the Mason family in Georgia last week when a multi-vehicle crash on I-75 claimed the lives of four family members. The horrific incident occurred on May 19, resulting in the untimely deaths of Dakarai Mason, 43, Erin Mason, 35, and 14-year-old Brandon Crawford. The family was travelling northbound in their Kia when their van veered off the roadway, crossed the grass median, and entered the southbound lanes of I-75.

The Kia van collided with a Chevy Tahoe and a Toyota 4Runner, leading to a chain reaction of collisions involving other vehicles. Three occupants in the Kia were pronounced dead at the scene, while two juveniles, siblings Titus, 6, and Noah Mason, were rushed to the hospital. Tragically, Titus succumbed to his injuries on May 22, but his brother Noah miraculously survived and has since been released from the hospital.

Five-year-old Noah Mason’s incredible survival has brought a ray of hope to the grieving family. Despite the immense loss they have suffered, Noah’s grandmother expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support and prayers they have received. “We are overjoyed that our sweet Noah is on his way to his new home. We shall never completely heal from the loss of his family and ours. But God blessed us with a five-year-old that will never allow us to slow down or wallow in our sadness,” she said.

“I would like to say a very special Thank you to all the nurses, doctors, the counselors, tech people, the group in the PICU, the ones from PT and even the officers in the lobby who always asked for updates and continued to pray at Scottish Rite,” she said.
