In a heartbreaking turn of events, a fire broke out in a residential building in the Krishna Nagar area of east Delhi, resulting in the loss of three lives and leaving another individual severely injured. The incident, which took place on Sunday, has sent shockwaves through the local community.

Officials from the Delhi Fire Services reported that the fire engulfed a four-storey building, leading to the tragic deaths of three individuals. The charred body of a 66-year-old woman named Promila Shad was discovered on the first floor of the building. Additionally, 18-year-old Keshav Sharma and 39-year-old Anju Sharma were declared deceased upon arrival at the hospital.
Five fire tenders rushed to the scene in an attempt to extinguish the flames. Unfortunately, 14 vehicles and two bicycles parked at the location were completely destroyed by the fire.

A distress call was received at 2.35 am regarding a blaze near the Bank of India in Krishna Nagar. By 7.20 am, the firefighters managed to extinguish the flames, which had started in a group of two-wheelers in the stilt parking area of the building.
Garg further mentioned that the fire had spread to the first floor of the building, causing damage to the second, third, and fourth floors due to heat and smoke exposure.
Police Investigation and Legal Action
Following the incident, the police have taken swift action by booking the owner of the building at Krishna Nagar Police Station. An FIR has been registered under relevant sections of the IPC, including 285, 304A, 337, and 427. The authorities are conducting thorough investigations and post-mortem examinations on the deceased individuals.
