Three individuals from Los Angeles were apprehended for allegedly stealing thousands of dollars worth of merchandise from Target stores in Southern California. The suspects, identified as Miya Angel Grant, 19, Dion Damani Ford, 20, and Nanyaba Wilson-Tyehhimba, 27, were arrested by Ventura County deputies following a theft incident at a Target store in Thousand Oaks.

Arrest and Recovery of Stolen Items

On May 22, Ventura County deputies received a report of a “theft in progress” at a Target store on Teller Road in Thousand Oaks. Security personnel at the store informed authorities that the suspects had loaded several large items into a shopping tote before fleeing. The suspects were also linked to another theft at a different Target location just minutes prior.

After identifying the suspects, investigators located them driving on the 101 Freeway and subsequently pulled them over for questioning. During the arrest, deputies found a significant amount of stolen merchandise, including alcohol, cosmetics, over-the-counter medication, and personal hygiene products, in the suspects’ possession.

Charges and Legal Proceedings

Target employees estimated that the trio had stolen approximately $3,500 worth of merchandise from both Target locations. The suspects were booked on charges of organized retail theft but were later released on bail. Their arraignment hearing is scheduled to take place at the Ventura County Superior Court on June 6.
