Devastating Storm Hits Rawalpindi District
A tragic incident unfolded in the Rawalpindi district when a powerful storm wreaked havoc, claiming the lives of three individuals, including two children, and injuring five others. The first heartbreaking incident occurred in Qazian village, where two young children, Ali Hassan (9) and Zila Hassan (8), lost their lives when the roof of their house collapsed. Two other children, Aliza (12) and Farhan (4), sustained injuries in the tragic event. Rescue 1122 teams quickly responded to the emergency, rushing the injured to the District Headquarters Hospital Rawalpindi for medical treatment.
Additional Casualties Reported
Tragedy struck again as a 55-year-old woman suffered critical injuries when the wall of her house crumbled in the same area. In another heartbreaking incident, a 13-year-old girl named Areeba lost her life in a roof collapse in the Sangni area of Gujar Khan, according to police and Rescue 1122 sources.
