The victim, identified as Jonathan Miller, a student at Julius L. Chambers High School in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools district, was tragically shot and killed in the residential area of Kingswood Community in north Charlotte.
The teen suspect has been transferred to the custody of Stonewall Jackson Detention Facility as the community grapples with the shocking incident that has left many residents on edge.
