The suspect, described as “psychologically highly fragile,” admitted to considering an unspecified act. While he did not mention the Olympic torch relay, authorities noted his interest in the Incel (involuntarily celibate) movement. This revelation raised concerns about his intentions and potential threat.
Security Measures
As the Olympic flame embarks on a 12,000km journey across mainland France and its overseas territories, stringent security measures are in place. Anti-drone experts have joined forces with law enforcement to closely monitor the torch’s progress.
