Despite receiving treatment, his condition worsened, and he was subsequently taken to the civic-run KEM Hospital on May 5. Despite initial treatment, his health continued to deteriorate, leading to his admission to the hospital.

Legal Ramifications and Arrests

Following Bhokse’s tragic passing on Monday, the authorities took swift action by registering an FIR against unidentified individuals under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. The police arrested two food vendors, Anand Kamble and Ahmed Sheikh, in connection with the incident and charged them with culpable homicide not amounting to murder.

This recent incident is not an isolated case in Mumbai, as just last month, 12 individuals were hospitalized for suspected food poisoning after consuming shawarma in the Goregaon area.
