TUCSON, Ariz. Family Mourns Teen Girl Killed in UTV Crash in Cochise County
A tragic incident has left a southern Arizona family reeling after a teen girl lost her life in a devastating UTV crash in Cochise County over the weekend. The accident took place on Hawke Eye Road in Elfrida, a small town located approximately 40 miles outside Bisbee.
Details of the Tragic Accident
According to the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office, two teen girls, aged 13 and 14, were ejected from the side-by-side UTV during the incident. Both girls sustained serious injuries and were rushed to the hospital for treatment. Tragically, the 13-year-old, identified as Venice Galleano, succumbed to her injuries.
A Heartbreaking Loss
Venice, an eighth-grade student at Benson Middle School, was just a few weeks away from transitioning to high school. Her family described her as a bright and vibrant young girl who brought joy to everyone around her. The crash occurred less than 24 hours after Venice’s first father-daughter dance, a moment her family will cherish forever.

Family members reminisced about Venice’s love for UTVs and her infectious laughter. They recalled her as a quick-witted and caring individual who always looked out for her younger siblings.
