Tragic Shooting Incident in Southeast London

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Division Major Case Unit are investigating a fatal shooting in Southeast London.
Details of the Incident
On a Friday evening in May, at approximately 9:10 p.m., Seventh District officials responded to the 2300 block of Hartford Street in Southeast London following reports of gunfire. Shortly after, a 3-year-old female was discovered at a nearby fire station on Irving Street, also in Southeast London, with a gunshot wound.
MPD officers and members of DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services provided immediate medical attention to the child before she was airlifted to a local hospital by United States Park Police. Tragically, despite all efforts, she was pronounced dead.
Investigation Findings
Preliminary investigations by detectives revealed that the child was in a vehicle at the time of the shooting in the 2300 block of Hartford Street, Southeast London.
Victim Identification and Rewards
The victim was identified as 3-year-old Ty’ah Settles from Southeast London. The Metropolitan Police Department, in collaboration with the FBI and ATF, is offering a reward of up to £50,000 for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for this tragic incident.
