Among the grim scene was a young female child, injured and in need of immediate medical attention.
A Desperate Race Against Time
Upon arriving at the park, officers sprang into action, administering life-saving measures to the injured child. Clovis EMS swiftly transported the child to Plains Regional Medical Center, before transferring her to a hospital in Lubbock. Tragically, the female victims were identified as 23-year-old Samantha Cisneros and 23-year-old Taryn Allen, both hailing from Texico, New Mexico.
A Heartbreaking Discovery
As investigators combed through the scene, they made a chilling realization – there were signs that an infant had been present during the heinous act. An infant car seat, a stroller, and a baby bottle lay abandoned, sparking fears that a baby had been caught in the crossfire. The 9th Judicial Major Crime Unit was swiftly activated, taking over the investigation and unraveling a heartbreaking truth.
