In a tragic incident on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, six individuals, including five members of a family from Sikar district, lost their lives when their SUV was struck by a truck in Sawai Madhopur district. The victims, two brothers and their wives, were identified as Manish Sharma, Anita Sharma, Santosh Sharma, Satish Sharma, and Poonam Sharma. Two children, Deepali Sharma and Manan Sharma, were critically injured and taken to a hospital in Jaipur for treatment. The family was en route to the Trinetra Ganesh temple when the accident occurred. The truck driver fled the scene, but has been identified through CCTV footage.

Jaipur: A devastating accident on the bustling Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in Sawai Madhopur district has left a community in mourning. Six individuals, including five members of a family from Sikar district, lost their lives in a horrific collision between their SUV and a truck on a fateful Sunday morning.
The accident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Bonli police station, where the truck driver responsible for the collision callously fled the scene, leaving behind a trail of devastation. The victims, two brothers and their wives, have been identified as Manish Sharma (38) and his wife Anita Sharma (36), his sister Santosh Sharma (55), Satish Sharma (36) and his wife Poonam Sharma (34) along with the driver of the SUV, Kailash Chaudhary.
The Victims
Among the victims, Manish Sharma’s seven-year-old daughter Deepali Sharma and 12-year-old son Manan Sharma sustained serious injuries in the accident. They were promptly rushed to a nearby hospital before being referred to a medical facility in Jaipur for further treatment. The family was en route from Sikar to Sawai Madhopur to pay a visit to the revered Trinetra Ganesh temple.
The Unfortunate Circumstances
It has been revealed that Manish Sharma had recently purchased the SUV, a mere five days before the tragic incident. Eager to explore the road in their new vehicle, the family had hired a local driver for the journey to the temple, unaware of the unforeseen calamity that awaited them.
Sub-Inspector Dharmpal Singh of Bonli police station disclosed that the truck involved in the collision had been identified and seized based on CCTV footage. However, the driver responsible for the accident remains at large, evading accountability for the heart-wrenching loss inflicted upon the innocent victims.
