A heartbreaking incident unfolded at an event venue in Queens last weekend, resulting in the tragic death of a young man from Stuyvesant Heights. The victim, identified as Jefari Dobie, 24, succumbed to a fatal gunshot wound to the chest, according to the latest reports from the police.

The shooting took place in the early hours of May 4 at 108-11 Atlantic Avenue, Queens. The venue, known as Volume 17, became the scene of a violent altercation that left Dobie mortally wounded. Upon their arrival, law enforcement officers discovered Dobie on the premises, along with two other individuals who had sustained gunshot injuries.

Response and Transport

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) swiftly responded to the scene and transported Dobie to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center. Despite their best efforts, Dobie could not be saved and was pronounced dead at the hospital. The other two victims, a 45-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the leg and a 26-year-old man shot in the right arm, were also taken to NY Presbyterian Queens Hospital for treatment and are reported to be in stable condition.

Additional Victim and Ongoing Investigation

Further complicating the situation, a 43-year-old man arrived at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center independently, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his arms and legs. He is currently in stable condition. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, and the authorities are actively investigating the incident.
