Bharatpur (Rajasthan): Teenage NEET Aspirant Commits Suicide Ahead of Exam
An 18-year-old NEET aspirant tragically died by suicide in Bharatpur, Rajasthan, just a night before the medical exam scheduled for May 5. The incident occurred in Brij Nagar of the city on Saturday night, as confirmed by the local police.
The young man, identified as Manish, was the son of Harbhan Singh and hailed from village Nagla Mirchua in the Lakhanpur police station area. According to Sultan, the RBM outpost in-charge, Manish was residing in a rented room in Brij Nagar with his elder brother while preparing for the medical exam for the past two years.
On the fateful evening, Manish’s elder brother had ventured out to the market. Upon his return, he discovered the devastating scene of his brother’s demise. Manish was rushed to RBM Hospital, where, tragically, he was pronounced dead by the attending physicians.
NEET UG 2024 Exam Details
The NEET UG 2024 exam, scheduled for May 5, was set to take place in 571 cities across the country and abroad. Within India, 557 cities were designated examination centres, while 14 cities were located overseas, totaling over 5,000 centres nationwide.
