Tuscaloosa Shooting Suspect Arrested After Fatal Incident

An arrest has been made in connection with a fatal shooting that took place on Sunday morning in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The incident resulted in the death of one man and left three others injured.

Details of the Incident

The shooting occurred in the 1300 block of 58th Street, just outside the Tuscaloosa city limits. The victim who tragically lost his life has been identified as Donavin Ryans, aged 30. The other three individuals who were injured in the incident are expected to recover from their wounds.

Suspect Identified

Following an investigation that included interviewing witnesses and processing the crime scene, 22-year-old Gredrick Agnew was identified as the primary suspect in the shooting. According to Captain Jack Kennedy of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, the victims were inside a residence when Agnew, who had been asked to leave a small party, fired into the dwelling from outside, injuring the victims.

Arrest and Charges

Agnew fled the scene after the shooting, prompting a search by investigators and the U.S. Marshall’s Task Force across multiple counties. He was apprehended in Marengo County on Sunday and is currently being held without bond at the Tuscaloosa County Jail on a capital murder charge. Additional charges are expected to be filed against Agnew following further consultation with the District Attorney’s Office.
