Muscat and E. Grand avenues, where Franco was found lying in an alley with a gunshot wound to the upper body, ultimately resulting in his untimely death.
Discovery of the Crime Scene
At 4:40 a.m. on that fateful Tuesday morning, a passerby alerted Fresno County Sheriff’s dispatchers after spotting Franco in the alley. Deputies quickly responded to the scene to investigate the situation, leading to the involvement of homicide detectives and the Crime Scene Unit to gather evidence and speak with potential witnesses.
Investigation and Potential Suspects
Residents in the area reported hearing possible gunshots between 10:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. the night before, although no official report was made to law enforcement at the time. Detectives are currently exploring the possibility that the incident may be gang-related but have yet to identify any suspects.
