The Tragic Shooting Incident in Tucson, Arizona

In a devastating turn of events, the Tucson Police Department has released chilling details about a fatal shooting that occurred in the early hours of Sunday, April 28th. The incident took place in the 3200 block of east 5th Street, nestled between Country Club and Alvernon in Tucson, Arizona.

The Victims of the Shooting

The Tucson Police Department responded to reports of a shooting at approximately 1:40 a.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult female victim with severe gunshot wounds outside a residence in the area. Tragically, the victim, identified as 20-year-old Erin Jones, succumbed to her injuries after being rushed to the hospital. Erin Jones, a student at the University of Arizona, leaves behind a grieving family and community.

University of Arizona’s Response

President Robert Robbins of the University of Arizona expressed his deepest condolences in a heartfelt letter to the university community. He acknowledged the profound loss of sophomore Erin Jones and offered support to her family, friends, and classmates during this difficult time. Further Victims and Investigations

In addition to Erin Jones, another adult female was injured in the shooting and is receiving treatment for non-life threatening injuries.
