In a tragic incident that shook the Tucson community, the Tucson Police Department released new information about an early morning shooting that took place on Sunday, April 28. The incident occurred in the 3200 block of East 5th Street, located between Country Club and Alvernon.

According to the Tucson Police Department, officers responded to reports of a shooting at approximately 1:40 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered an adult female victim with gunshot wounds outside a residence. The victim, identified as 20-year-old Erin Jones, was rushed to the hospital but tragically succumbed to her injuries.
