The horrifying incident took place at 9:49 p.m. when a woman heard her door being forcefully kicked in at her apartment on Ship Mill Street. The woman recounted to the police that a man, later identified as Andre Sallee, barged into her home and demanded her phone.
Refusing to comply, the victim stood her ground, prompting the man to insist that he would not leave empty-handed. He attempted to remove a wall-mounted television before heading to a bedroom where he grabbed a flat-screen TV and made his way towards the exit.
With her 2-year-old child in her arms, the woman threatened to call the authorities, prompting Sallee to re-enter the apartment and unleash a brutal attack. Reportedly, he punched the woman multiple times, causing her to fall onto a couch. Subsequently, he kicked her in the leg before fleeing the scene in what appeared to be a white car.
