Driver charged for fatal crash in Tampines after causing the death of two individuals
Today in Tampines, a 42-year-old driver faced charges in court for his involvement in a fatal accident that resulted in the death of two individuals. The driver, identified as Muhammad Syafie Ismail, was charged with four counts of dangerous driving and failing to stop after the accident, all under the Road Traffic Act. He appeared in court on multiple charges, including dangerous driving causing death, unsafe driving causing injury, dangerous driving, and failure to stop after an accident. The severity of these charges could result in imprisonment, fines, and disqualification from driving.
The Straits Times (ST) reported that the judge granted Syafi bail of S$30,000 but warned him against contacting prosecution witnesses.
