The Intruder Arrested at Los Angeles Mayor’s Residence
In a surprising turn of events, a suspected intruder was apprehended in the early hours of Sunday morning after breaking into the home of Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass. The incident took place at the Getty House, the official residence of the Mayor, located in the upscale Hancock Park neighborhood of Los Angeles.
According to the LAPD Public Information Officer, the break-in occurred around 6:40 AM when the individual smashed a window to gain entry into the Getty House while it was occupied by Mayor Bass and her family.
Fortunately, there were no injuries reported during the incident, and the suspect was taken into custody without any resistance. The individual was later identified as Ephraim Matthew Hunter, 29, and was booked on a felony burglary charge. His bail has been set at $100,000, and the investigation is still ongoing.
In response to the break-in, Zach Seidl, Deputy Mayor of Communications, released a statement expressing gratitude to the LAPD for their swift response and apprehension of the suspect.
