Police Dispatched to the Scene

At around 11 a.m., officers from the Rapid School Safety Team were summoned to the preschool in response to reports of Cowart threatening to pull a firearm on a teacher and students. Upon arriving at the school, law enforcement discovered that the premises were on lockdown, and Cowart was contained in a classroom with children and another teacher.
