Last week, a tragic shooting incident occurred in an apartment building on Clovernook Avenue in Mount Healthy, Ohio, leaving the community in shock. The victim, identified as Willie Lindsey, 53, of Cincinnati, was fatally shot inside the building. The incident took place in the 7700 block of Clovernook Ave., where emergency services responded to a report of a shooting around 10 a.m.
911 Calls Detail the Horrifying Scene
Two neighbours made frantic calls to 911 after hearing gunshots and discovering the lifeless body of Mr. Lindsey inside an abandoned apartment. One caller described the chilling moment, saying, “I just opened the door and looked because I heard a gunshot. It’s an abandoned apartment. So I heard some gunshots. I just opened the door and looked, and it’s a man in there laying on the floor dead.”
Law Enforcement Responds
Upon arrival, law enforcement officers found Mr. Lindsey with a gunshot wound and immediately transported him to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Tragically, he was pronounced dead at the hospital. The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, Criminal Investigations Section, was alerted and is now leading the investigation into the shooting.
