Alabama Woman Arrested After $450,000 Worth of Narcotics Found in Home

In a shocking turn of events, an Alabama woman has been arrested after authorities discovered $450,000 worth of narcotics in her home, including 2.2 kilograms of cocaine hidden in a 3-year-old child’s backpack. The incident took place in Mobile, Alabama, where law enforcement officials were alerted to the presence of drugs in the residence.

Arrest and Charges

Tierra Tocorra Hill, a 35-year-old resident of Mobile, was taken into custody and charged with trafficking cocaine, second-degree possession of marijuana, tampering with physical evidence, and four counts of chemical endangerment of a child. The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office was responsible for the arrest, as reported by WKRG-TV.

Discovery of Narcotics

Following a tip-off, narcotics investigators conducted surveillance on Hill and later stopped her vehicle, where they found approximately 3.3 pounds of cocaine, a small quantity of marijuana, and a handgun. Subsequently, a search warrant was issued for her home, where they discovered four children, aged 3, 8, 10, and 15, unsupervised.

Child’s Backpack

During the search, authorities found a 3-year-old child wearing a blue Nike backpack that contained 2.2 kilograms of cocaine. Another kilogram of cocaine and two handguns were also found in a black backpack. Shockingly, the cocaine and weapons were easily accessible to the minor children present in the home at the time.

Law Enforcement Response

Mobile County Sheriff Paul Burch expressed outrage at the situation, stating, “It is absurd how reckless this situation was. There was a total disregard for the law and the children’s well-being.” He emphasized the need for additional charges to be filed against Hill for endangering the lives of the children.

Final Thoughts

In a statement, Sheriff Burch highlighted the seriousness of the situation, condemning the mother’s actions and calling for her to be held accountable. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are working to ensure the safety and well-being of the children involved.
