Located in the picturesque town of Arnold, Maryland, a disturbing incident has come to light involving a 26-year-old male named Michael Stuart Hislop. On January 11, 2024, the Anne Arundel County Child Abuse Unit launched an investigation following a report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) regarding the uploading of child pornographic images to an online platform.
After obtaining and executing various court orders, detectives were able to trace the source of the illegal content to an address in the 700 block of Match Point Drive in Arnold, Maryland. A residential search warrant was executed on February 2, 2024, resulting in the confiscation of multiple digital devices for further analysis. The suspect, Michael Stuart Hislop, was present at the scene.
Arrest and Charges
Subsequent investigations confirmed that the digital storage account used to upload the illicit images belonged to Mr. Hislop. As a result, the Child Abuse detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Hislop, charging him with 16 counts of possession of child pornography. On March 19, 2024, Michael Stuart Hislop was arrested without incident at his residence.
