Accident – Death – Obituary News : Etawah (Uttar Pradesh) [India], March 15 (ANI): The Uttar Pradesh police made a shocking discovery on Thursday as they recovered the body of a 20-year-old student from Saifai Medical College near Sonai Bridge. The victim, identified as Priya Mishra, was a first-year paramedical student and a resident of Auraiya. Her body was found with serious injury marks, raising concerns of a possible heinous crime.
According to SSP Sanjay Kumar Verma, it is suspected that the body of Priya Mishra was dumped at the site, as no traces of blood have been found so far. The investigation revealed that the victim had handed over her mobile phone to a friend before going missing and had recently been involved in an altercation with someone.
“The death of a 20-year-old student named Priya Mishra is a matter of serious investigation. Our surveillance and forensic team, along with other officials, have reached the spot and we will soon reveal more details,” said SSP Sanjay Kumar.
The Saifai police have assured that every angle will be probed in the investigation. Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav criticized the state government and called for a judicial inquiry into the case.
In a video posted by Akhilesh Yadav, students were seen protesting outside the trauma center to demand justice for the deceased paramedical student. The SP Chief expressed his concerns over the safety of women in Uttar Pradesh under the current BJP government.
“The death of a student under suspicious circumstances in Saifai University is a very serious matter. This is another sad example of the declared policy of zero tolerance becoming zero during the time of BJP in Uttar Pradesh,” stated Akhilesh Yadav.
He further added, “There should be a judicial inquiry into this alleged murder, so that the truth about the people involved in incidents like BHU and Saifai University can be revealed. The BJP government is neither able to save the honor of women nor their lives.”
