Deadly Crash in Montgomery County Claims One Life

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — Tragedy struck overnight on Saturday in Montgomery County as the Police Department reported a fatal crash that claimed the life of one man and left two others injured.

Details of the Incident

According to authorities, the incident occurred around 12:20 a.m. in the vicinity of Connecticut Avenue at Quincy Street. The collision involved two vehicles that were travelling along Connecticut Avenue near Quincy Street when the crash took place.

Reports indicate that one of the vehicles collided with a Pepco pole and several trees, while the other vehicle overturned as a result of the impact.

Victim identified

The driver of one of the vehicles has been identified as Jobani Alfredo Cruz, a 29-year-old resident of Washington, D.C. Tragically, Cruz was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

Injured Victims Hospitalised

Additionally, a man and a woman who were also involved in the collision sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were promptly transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
