Arrests Made in Connection with Fatal Shooting in Sydney Last Year

Two individuals have recently been apprehended in connection with a tragic shooting incident that took place in south-west Sydney last year. The incident unfolded on Broughton Street in Canterbury, where authorities responded to reports of gunfire at 2 am on Thursday, July 27.

Details of the Incident

Upon arrival at the scene, law enforcement officers discovered a man suffering from gunshot wounds, who unfortunately succumbed to his injuries on-site. The victim has since been identified as 28-year-old Ferenc “David” Stemler.

Arrests Made

Recently, significant progress has been made in the case with the arrest of two suspects. A 23-year-old woman was taken into custody in Wetherill Park at approximately 7 am yesterday. Following her arrest, she was charged with murder and was denied bail. She made an appearance in court and is set to return on April 18.

Moreover, at around 9.40 am today, a 27-year-old man who was in a correctional facility was also arrested. Authorities anticipate charging him with murder as the investigation continues.
