BROWN COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities in Brown County are investigating a wanted suspect on additional charges after successfully tracking him down in Hiawatha, Kansas.

Sheriff John Merchant stated that just after midnight on February 18, sheriff’s deputies received information that an individual with a Richardson County Nebraska Felony Warrant for 1st Degree Assault was present in Hiawatha.

Deputies quickly located the wanted suspect, who has been identified as 47-year-old Anthony Tull from Hiawatha, in a vacant building in the area. Tull was found hiding on top of a small room within the building and was taken into custody without any resistance.

Aside from the initial charges, Tull is also facing requested charges of Felony Obstruction, adding to his legal troubles.

Sheriff Merchant revealed that Tull had previously been arrested in July on requested charges of Possession of Meth, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Obstruction, and a Hiawatha Failure to Appear Warrant.
