A 35-year-old man from Santa Ana has been taken into custody following a tragic incident over the weekend. The suspect, John Danny Tamallo Flores, was arrested on suspicion of fatally stabbing another man, who was later driven to a nearby fire station where he succumbed to his injuries.

The arrest took place around 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 17, when an officer spotted Flores’ vehicle on a busy street and pulled him over in the 2300 block of North Grand Avenue. The altercation that led to the fatal stabbing occurred in front of a mixed-use building in the 2000 block of West Chestnut Avenue at approximately 3:15 p.m. on Feb. 15. The victim, 44-year-old Rodolfo Rosell, was stabbed during the confrontation and was rushed to Orange County Fire Station 73 located at 419 S. Franklin St., where he tragically passed away.
