San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Identifies Two More Victims in Adelanto Mass Shooting

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department has revealed the identities of the latest victims in the Adelanto mass shooting. Narcisco Sandoval, 47, of San Rafael, and Adrian Ochoa-Salgado, 41, of Llano, were identified as the fifth and sixth victims, respectively.

Sheriff’s investigators have released photos as they request the public’s assistance to identify the sixth victim of a multiple homicide that took place in January in Adelanto.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, photos of Adrian Ochoa-Salgado were released to the public on Thursday in the hopes of identifying him. The department expressed gratitude to the public for their assistance in uncovering his identity.

Previously, three other victims were identified as Baldemar Mondragon-Albarran, 34, of Adelanto; Franklin Noel Bonilla, 22, of Hesperia; and Kevin Dariel Bonilla, 25, of Hesperia.

The Defendants

Charges have been filed against five individuals suspected in the Adelanto mass shooting on January 23. The defendants are Toniel Baez-Duarte, 34, of Apple Valley; Jose Nicolas Hernandez-Sarabia, 33, of Adelanto; Mateo Baez Duarte, 24, of Apple Valley; Jose Gregorgio Hernandez-Sarabia, 34, of Adelanto; and Jose Manuel Burgos Parra, 26, of Adelanto.

Sergeant Michael Warrick, from the sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division’s Homicide Detail, stated that the suspects were apprehended following an extensive investigation. Authorities executed search warrants in Apple Valley, Adelanto, and the Los Angeles County area of Pinon Hills, leading to the arrests.

The Shooting Incident

On January 23, law enforcement officials responded to a 911 call from Franklin Noel Bonilla, who reported being shot in the rural, unincorporated desert area of Adelanto. Upon arrival, deputies discovered five deceased men, and shortly after, Bonilla’s body was found nearby.

Homicide detectives determined that the victims had been shot, with four of them partially burned. Sheriff Shannon Dicus, during a press conference on January 29, stated that the motive behind the murders was related to an illegal cannabis operation.
