Accident – Death – Obituary News : Officials in St Vincent have confirmed the tragic deaths of four individuals following a devastating airplane crash off the coast of Bequia. The incident occurred on Thursday, January 4. The victims have been identified as pilot Robert Sachs, a native of Bequia, and 51-year-old American national Christian Klepser, along with his two daughters, Madita (10) and Annik (12).
According to a report from the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF), the small aircraft took off from JF Mitchell Airport at approximately 12:11 pm, with its destination being the neighboring island of St Lucia. However, shortly after takeoff, the plane encountered difficulties and nosedived into the ocean, approximately one nautical mile west of Petit Nevis island.

Fishermen and divers from Paget Farm also rushed to the crash site in their boats to offer any help they could. The SVG Coast Guard coordinated the rescue efforts on Bequia.
Sadly, all four individuals on board the aircraft were pronounced dead by a medical practitioner. The Coast Guard retrieved their bodies from the water. The remains were then transported to mainland St Vincent, where post-mortem examinations will be conducted at the Kingstown mortuary to determine the exact cause of death.
