An 84-Year-Old Woman Fatally Injured in Tragic Crash on Texas Highway 78 in Wylie
WYLIE, Texas — Tragedy struck on Texas Highway 78 in Wylie as an unfortunate collision claimed the life of an 84-year-old woman, as confirmed by the local police. The victim, identified as Jean Flynn, tragically lost her life in the accident.
According to the authorities at the Wylie police department, the incident occurred at approximately 2 p.m. on Wednesday, at the intersection of Highway 78 and Eubanks Lane. Upon arriving at the scene, law enforcement discovered two vehicles involved in the crash, with a total of three occupants.
Based on the preliminary investigation conducted by the authorities, it was determined that a silver Honda CRV was traveling westbound on Highway 78. As the vehicle attempted to make a southbound turn onto Eubanks Lane, it was unfortunately struck by a silver Dodge Ram pulling a trailer, which was traveling eastbound on Highway 78.
Tragically, Jean Flynn was a passenger in the Honda CRV at the time of the collision. Despite the prompt response from emergency services, she succumbed to her injuries at the scene, as confirmed by the police.
Following the crash, the survivors were promptly attended to by the Wylie Fire and Rescue team, who then transported them to nearby regional hospitals for further medical treatment, according to the police.
