COLUMBUS, Ohio — Tejuan Stanley, the man accused of fatally shooting 16-year-old Elisha Judd in Franklinton earlier this year, has been sentenced to a minimum of nine years in prison, as per court documents.
The Franklin County court records reveal that Stanley will serve nine to 13 and a half years in prison for involuntary manslaughter, marking a significant development in the case that shook the community.
The tragic incident occurred on May 9 when officers from the Columbus Division of Police responded to a distress call in the 700 block of West Rich Street. They discovered Elisha Judd, a teenage girl, suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite immediate medical attention, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Law enforcement swiftly apprehended Stanley at a nearby bus stop in front of a Wendy’s on West Broad Street shortly after the shooting. The arrest provided some solace to the grieving community as they sought justice for the senseless act of violence.
