Kurukshetra, Haryana – In a shocking incident that has left the community in disbelief, a woman and her two young children were tragically found dead in their residence in Kurukshetra. The husband, who had initially attempted suicide by hanging himself, was rescued in the nick of time and is currently receiving medical treatment at a local hospital.
The victims have been identified as Rina, her daughter Gursifat alias Jiya (4), and her one-and-a-half-year-old son Kriyansh. Police officials, led by Superintendent Surinder Singh Bhoria, have registered a case against Rina’s husband, Rakesh, along with his father-in-law, mother-in-law, and other members of the family, based on a complaint lodged by Rina’s brother.
The distressing incident unfolded on Thursday morning when Rakesh was discovered hanging by his family members. Swift action was taken, and he was immediately transported to a nearby government hospital. Due to the severity of his condition, he was subsequently referred to the esteemed Kalpana Chawla Government Medical College in Karnal.
According to the complaint filed by Rina’s brother, Sanjeev Kumar, Rina had been subjected to immense pressure by her in-laws to procure money as her husband harbored aspirations of relocating to the United States. The couple had been married for a few years before these demands began to surface.
Kumar further revealed that they were informed of Rina and her children’s deteriorating health, which had prompted their hospitalization. However, upon reaching their residence, they were met with a tragic scene – Rina, Gursifat, and Kriyansh lifeless, while Rakesh had made a desperate attempt to take his own life.
Authorities are currently awaiting the comprehensive reports to ascertain the cause of death. SHO Pardeep Kumar of Jhansa police station stated that the bodies have been released to the family, and a thorough investigation is underway to uncover the truth behind this heart-wrenching incident.
Family members of Rakesh have come forward with their account, claiming that around 7:15 am on Thursday, they made a harrowing discovery. Peering through a window, they spotted Rakesh hanging, while Rina and the children lay unconscious nearby. The trio was immediately rushed to the hospital, but tragically, they were pronounced dead upon arrival.
