The suspect, 33-year-old Dominique Morgan from Lynchburg, was arrested by the Lynchburg Police Department and charged with first-degree murder and felony conspiracy to commit murder on Friday.
The incident in question took place on July 10, when Durham police officers responded to a report of a gunshot wound on the 2200 block of N.C. 54 Highway. Upon their arrival, they discovered the lifeless body of 55-year-old Johnny Lloyd Banks Jr., who had been fatally shot.
