Accident – Death – Obituary News : Martinez, California – The Contra Costa District Attorney’s Office has officially pressed charges against an 18-year-old individual named Sean Karp for murder, firearm assault, and related enhancements in connection with the tragic shooting death of 16-year-old Ke’Marion Tucker in Oakley on October 21st.

A complaint has been filed in Superior Court in Martinez today, accusing Sean Karp of one count of murder, with an enhancement for intentionally discharging a firearm. Additionally, Karp is facing three counts of assault with a semi-automatic firearm, with enhancements relating to the use of a handgun and causing significant bodily harm to three individuals.

These charges stem from a distressing incident that took place at a residence in Oakley during a party. Alongside Tucker losing his life due to being shot, three other teenagers were injured as a result of Karp firing his weapon.

Following the incident, Oakley Police arrested another individual who was initially suspected of the shooting on October 25th. However, this person was later released as the investigation continued. Eventually, Sean Karp was identified as the primary suspect and was apprehended on November 30th in Brentwood, with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Service.

Currently, Karp is being held in custody at the Martinez Detention Facility and is scheduled to appear in court for arraignment on December 6th at 1:30 pm in Martinez. His bail has been set at a staggering $2,660,000.

This case bears the reference number 04-23-02043, titled “The People of the State of California vs. Karp, Sean.”
