In a heartbreaking incident, a mother and her son were tragically killed in a hit-and-run accident in the Westlake area of Los Angeles. The fatal collision occurred at around 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, according to a report from the Los Angeles Police Department. The driver involved in this horrifying incident, later identified as 31-year-old Isaiah Villegas, was traveling eastbound on Wilshire Boulevard when he struck the two victims who were standing on the sidewalk at the intersection of South Burlington Avenue.

The adult son was pronounced dead at the scene, while his mother succumbed to her injuries at the hospital. It has been reported that Villegas was driving a 2008 Cadillac CTS, allegedly at an alarmingly high speed. In a shocking revelation, beer cans were discovered at the scene, intensifying suspicions of drunk driving. Consequently, Villegas was later arrested and is currently being held on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter. His bail has been set at £110,000.
