The authorities in Defence have swiftly solved the perplexing case surrounding the discovery of a body in DHA Phase VII within a span of just 24 hours. Currently, they are actively conducting raids to apprehend the individual responsible for the heinous murder.
According to the findings, SHO of Defence police station, Shaukat Hayat Awan, has confirmed the identification of the woman’s body found near Fatima Masjid on Friday night. During the course of the investigation, the involvement of the prime suspect has also come to light.
The deceased woman, identified as Hasina, had been residing with a person named Hazratullah for the past one-and-a-half years. They had recently moved into a house in Qayyumabad approximately a month ago. The circumstances behind the murder will be unveiled following the arrest of Hazratullah, the SHO stated, adding that Hazratullah and his cousin, Shoaib, are believed to be potentially involved in the woman’s untimely demise. Both individuals are reportedly from the Tak area of Waziristan.

Responding to a query, Awan explained that they received confidential information regarding a house in Qayyumabad where a woman and a man had been missing since November 14. Acting promptly, the police conducted a raid on the mentioned premises with a search party, during which they discovered an old photograph of the deceased woman wearing a wedding dress. Additionally, they found photocopies of her and Hazratullah’s identity cards, clothes, and various other personal belongings.
Efforts are currently underway to locate the deceased woman’s heirs, who are suspected to be from Rahim Yar Khan. If no relatives come forward, the police will initiate legal proceedings on behalf of the state.
The post-mortem report is awaited to determine the cause of death. Meanwhile, the police have collected crucial evidence related to the murder and are diligently conducting investigations to apprehend all those involved. In addition, the police are also gathering information from the landlord of the property.
