LEDUC, Alta. — The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) have announced that they have charged a 47-year-old man with manslaughter in connection with the tragic death of a five-year-old boy in a foster home located south of Edmonton. The incident occurred in June 2022, when emergency crews responded to a distress call reporting the death of a child at a rural residence near Leduc.

Upon arrival, the cause of the young boy’s death remained uncertain, prompting the Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit to be summoned to aid in the investigation. The child has since been identified as Patience Noskiye.
