The Ontario Provincial Police Investigate Homicide in Ramara

The Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently conducting an investigation into a tragic homicide that occurred in the town of Ramara.

According to reports, officers received a distress call at approximately 1:00 p.m. on November 11, 2023, alerting them to a possible crime at a residence situated on County Road 169. Rushing to the scene, the authorities discovered the lifeless body of Fabian Crawford, a 48-year-old resident of Ramara.

Swift action by the responding officers led to the apprehension of the suspect, Christopher Scully, 54, from Orillia. Scully has been subsequently charged with Second Degree Murder and was held for a bail hearing on November 12, 2023, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Newmarket.
