Born on October 2, 1922, in Bell County, Texas, Norman Ricketts Hall was the beloved son of Dock and Lola Hall. He continued his service in the Army Reserve until his retirement. Norman and Billye’s shared passion for exploration and adventure took them to over 100 countries and numerous islands around the world.

Throughout his career in education, Dr. Hall held various administrative positions, leaving an indelible mark on the communities he served. He served as superintendent of schools in Lampasas, Andrews, Huffman, Round Rock, and Richard Milburn Academy. Remarkably, he continued working in the education field well into his nineties before finally retiring. His dedication and leadership were recognized by his peers, resulting in his appointment as the national president of the American Association of School Administrators. Additionally, he was an active member of the Texas State Teachers Associations and the Texas Association of School Administrators.

Dr. Norman Ricketts Hall is survived by his two sons, Norman (Skip) Hall, Jr. and Charlie Hall, along with their respective wives, Beth and Vicky.
