(Resse) Bagley, a vibrant and beloved individual who met with a fatal accident while on vacation with her family. Melissa, aged 44, leaves behind a void in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Melissa, a former resident of Swampscott, was not only a loving wife and mother but also an integral part of her community. Her bond with her husband, Lt. EPD Sean M. Bagley, was a testament to their enduring love, which spanned over 19 years of marriage.

Born in Salem in 1979, Melissa’s upbringing in Lynn and Swampscott instilled in her a strong connection to her roots. She attended Aborn Elementary School, St. Pius V School, and Swampscott High School, leaving an indelible mark on each institution.

Melissa Bagley’s journey led her to pursue a career in cosmetology and esthetics at Elizabeth Grady. Eventually, she became the proud owner and CEO of Euphoria Esthetics Day Spa in Swampscott. Beyond her professional achievements, Melissa’s devotion to her family was unparalleled. As a dedicated mother, she volunteered tirelessly at her children’s activities, exemplifying her unwavering support not only for her own children but also for their peers.

Her involvement extended to costume direction at Our Lady of the Assumption School’s drama club and volunteering with Wyoma Little League. Melissa was more than just a mother; she was the ultimate supporter and cheerleader for her children’s achievements in hockey, baseball, and horse shows.

An ardent gardener, an active member of the Chamber of Commerce, and a devout parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church, Melissa embodied a multifaceted spirit.

Melissa Bagley is survived by her husband Sean’s mother, Brenda Resse, and her beloved children Brendan Powicki, Riley Bagley, Alannah Bagley, and Jonathan Bagley. Her sisters, Kamelon “Kammy” Stevens and Paige Nadolna, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws, continue to mourn her loss.

Melissa’s spirit leaves an indelible mark on everyone she touched. Her warmth, generosity, and vivacity were infectious, bringing comfort and inspiration to all. Her ability to offer unwavering support and uplifting words to those she encountered was a beacon of light in their lives.

Honoring Melissa Bagley

A funeral service to celebrate and remember Melissa’s life will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2023. The service will commence at 8:30 a.m. at SOLIMINE FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist Church in Swampscott at 10 a.m. Melissa will be laid to rest at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody. Friends, family, and well-wishers are warmly invited to pay their respects.

In her passing, Melissa Bagley’s legacy of love and positivity remains steadfast, serving as a testament to a life lived to the fullest. Although her physical presence may be absent, the memories and impact she leaves behind will forever resonate.
