With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Nancy Carter, a cherished member of our community. Nancy peacefully departed this world on Sunday, August 20, 2023, at the age of 80, while under the care of Baptist Health Hardin. Her radiant presence brought light and warmth to all those fortunate enough to have known her, and her memory will forever be etched in our hearts.

Nancy Carter dedicated her life to the service of others, leaving an indelible impact on the lives she touched. Her journey of compassion and dedication led her to retire from Sunrise Manor Nursing Home after years of devoted service. Throughout her career, Nancy provided unwavering care and support to countless individuals, both patients and colleagues alike.

A Farewell Gathering to Celebrate Nancy Carter’s Life

We invite all who loved Nancy to join us in honoring her life and legacy at the funeral services, which will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 25, at the esteemed Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home. Nancy will find her final resting place in the serene Old Mount Sherman Cemetery. Visitation hours will be held at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, and continue after 10 a.m. on Friday.

During her final journey, Nancy will be accompanied by her pallbearers, Justin Carter, Alex Carter, Emily Metcalf, Taylor Melton, Matt Melton, and Jaden Furman. These individuals, like countless others, had the privilege of experiencing Nancy’s acts of kindness and her comforting presence.
