Two men have been charged in connection with a shooting in Norfolk, Virginia, that resulted in one man dead and another injured. The incident occurred when two police officers heard gunshots and witnessed gunfire coming from a car. The suspects were apprehended after a short pursuit. The victims were given justice thanks to the efforts of the officers. The suspects have been charged with second-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, malicious wounding, and use of a firearm. Norfolk Police have arrested two individuals in connection with a shooting incident that resulted in the death of one man and the injury of another. The incident occurred on Thursday night on E. Brambleton Avenue, where two police officers heard gunshots and observed gunfire coming from a vehicle. Despite their attempts to stop the car, the driver evaded them, leading to a brief pursuit that ended on E. Olney Road. The suspects fled on foot but were swiftly apprehended by the officers. Meanwhile, additional officers discovered a shooting victim, identified as Eugene L. Thomas, in the vicinity. Sadly, Thomas was pronounced dead at the scene. Another individual, a 25-year-old man, was also found nearby with a gunshot wound and was subsequently hospitalized, where he is expected to recover.

Norfolk Police Chief Mark Talbot praised the officers for their brave actions, stating that their intervention ensured swift justice for the victims of the senseless violence. DeAndre M. Davis, 20, and Arkeem D. Butcher, 24, have since been charged with multiple offenses, including second-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, malicious wounding, and use of a firearm. They are currently being held without bond.

In a separate incident a few hours later, Norfolk Police responded to another shooting in the 1500 block of Brambleton Avenue, close to Norfolk State University. This incident resulted in injuries to four individuals, consisting of three men and a woman.
