A Moorpark motorcycle deputy was seriously injured in a crash while on his way to another accident. The deputy, who had lights and sirens on, was struck by a woman who turned her vehicle left in front of him. The deputy is in stable condition. In a separate incident, a Ventura man was killed in a stabbing during an argument with his roommate. The suspect, Christopher Keith Ray Hogan, has been arrested and charged with felony murder. Lastly, a woman was severely injured when she was struck by a vehicle in Santa Paula. The driver was arrested for felony DUI. Ventura County Star reported

The incident occurred in Moorpark on Los Angeles Avenue at Millard Street. Despite having his lights and sirens activated, the deputy’s motorcycle was struck by a woman who turned her car left in front of him. The deputy sustained significant injuries and was taken to a local hospital, where he is currently in stable condition. The woman driver involved in the collision was unharmed and has not faced any legal consequences at this time.

In a separate incident, a man from Ventura has been identified as the victim of a fatal stabbing that occurred during a dispute with his roommate. The deceased, Daniel Salinas, 19, suffered a stab wound to his torso. The altercation took place at an apartment in the residential area south of Main Street, near the Pacific View mall. Salinas was transported to Ventura County Medical Center by ambulance but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries, making this the fourth homicide in Ventura this year. Another man, Christopher Keith Ray Hogan, 19, was apprehended while attempting to flee the scene and has been arrested on suspicion of felony murder. Hogan, also known as Christopher Rayhogan, is currently being held in Ventura County jail on a bail amount of $510,000.

Furthermore, a pedestrian in Santa Paula was severely injured when she was hit by a vehicle while walking on Wednesday afternoon. The incident occurred at the intersection of Steckel Drive and Harvard Boulevard. The driver of the vehicle has been arrested on suspicion of felony driving under the influence, according to Santa Paula Police Chief Don Aguilar. The driver may face additional charges related to the incident.
