In Davenport, Iowa, an 18-year-old from Peoria has been charged with the murder of a Moline man following a shooting incident in April. Alex Markovich, aged 18, was accused in May of first-degree murder, a Class A felony, as well as brandishing a dangerous weapon, a Class C felony. According to an arrest affidavit, the Davenport police were called to the vicinity of 37th Street and Bridge Avenue at approximately 11:42 p.m. on April 20 after receiving reports of gunfire. The affidavit states that law enforcement discovered an unresponsive individual, later identified as Aaryis Henderson, aged 34, lying in the middle of the intersection. Unfortunately, Henderson was pronounced dead shortly after the authorities arrived at the scene. Following their investigation, the police identified Markovich as the suspected perpetrator who allegedly shot Henderson. The affidavit mentions that the shooting was captured on video surveillance, which reportedly shows Markovich with a firearm shooting Henderson and then targeting a group of individuals. Shell casings were also found at the scene. Court records indicate that Markovich appeared in court for the first time on June 1, with a pretrial scheduled for September 8..
