“Whitewood Woman Jacqueline Gangelhoff Dies in Rapid City Single-Vehicle Crash”

A woman from Whitewood, South Dakota, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Rapid City. The crash involved a 2016 Harley Davidson trike that veered off the road for an unknown reason. The driver, Paul Gangelhoff, sustained minor injuries, while the passenger, Jacqueline Gangelhoff, tragically died. Both were not wearing helmets. RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) – The individual who tragically lost her life on Sunday in a solitary vehicle accident, occurring one mile south of Rapid City, S.D., has been identified as a woman from Whitewood, S.D.

Preliminary details regarding the crash indicate that a 2016 Harley Davidson trike was heading south on Neck Yoke Road when, for reasons unknown, it veered off the road towards the right. Subsequently, the trike entered the adjacent ditch and experienced a brief period of time in mid-air. During this sequence of events, the passenger became separated from the trike, while the driver managed to maintain control as the vehicle eventually came to a stop within the ditch.

The driver, identified as Paul Gangelhoff, aged 78, sustained minor injuries in the incident, despite not wearing a helmet. Unfortunately, the passenger, Jacqueline Gangelhoff, aged 66, suffered fatal injuries and was also not wearing a helmet.

The crash is currently under investigation by South Dakota’s Highway Patrol. It is important to note that all information disclosed thus far is solely preliminary and subject to further examination..
