A fatal crash in Caryville, Wisconsin was reported to the Sheriff’s Office after the driver’s phone automatically dialed 911. Emergency responders found the driver unresponsive in a ditch and the car down an embankment. The driver, identified as Jamison Fedie, was pronounced dead at the scene. A fatal car accident in Caryville, Wisconsin was reported to the local Sheriff’s Office when the driver’s phone automatically dialed 911. According to the Dunn County Sheriff’s Office, an Apple phone made an automated call at 3:24 a.m. on August 12, informing authorities that the owner of the phone had been involved in a severe crash.

Upon receiving the call, deputies, along with firefighters from the Rock Creek Fire Department and the Eau Claire Fire Department, immediately rushed to an address on State Highway 85 near Caryville in Rock Creek Township, which was the location from where the phone call originated.

Upon arrival, officials discovered an unresponsive man in a ditch, and his car was found down a steep embankment. It is believed that the sedan was traveling north on State Highway 85 when it veered off the road and landed in the ditch. The vehicle then traveled a considerable distance in the ditch, rolling over multiple times and ejecting the driver.

Tragically, the driver, identified as 27-year-old Jamison Fedie from Mondovi, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Dunn County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Currently, there are no further details available, and the Dunn County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an ongoing investigation into the crash..
