An Ada man was arrested in Pontotoc County, Oklahoma, for allegedly shooting and killing his brother in front of a child. The incident occurred at a home on County Road 1530, where deputies found the victim’s body with gunshot wounds to the face, arm, and chest. The Pontotoc County Sheriff’s Office received a report stating that upon their arrival at a residence on County Road 1530, they discovered the lifeless body of a man lying face down. The victim had sustained gunshot wounds to the face, arm, and chest. The deceased has been identified as Paul Carpenter. John Carpenter, who was located in a bedroom within the house, notified the deputies that his brother had forcefully entered his room, prompting him to fire the fatal shots. The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is currently conducting an inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
